Thunder's First Christmas

Things are really changing in the house.  Everyday there are new things going up on the windows and on the walls.  Furniture is being moved around and even a tree is in the house, many trees.  One is big just like outside, others are small, too high for me to reach but I can see them.  The trees are shiny and bright.  I am so glad I can reach the big one.  It has pretty things hanging from it and I can lay under it.  No one likes it if I touch the tree or anything on the tree.  I've been hearing a lot of No, No, No.  I can't help myself, they are so pretty.  I just want to touch them and carry them around and play with them.

Presents are wrapped in pretty paper.  It's another holiday called Christmas and they call the tree a Christmas tree.  We had a lot of family company.
Monster was here, I was so excited.
Everyone got presents and so did Monster and I.

Everyone was dressed up and so was I.
It just fit.  I weigh 12.4 lbs now.

Woof, I'm exhausted.  I'm glad this is the last holiday this year but a new one is coming next week.  It's called New Years Eve.

Thunder's Two Months Old

I went to see Dr. Joe today.  I got a shot, it didn't even hurt and they always give me a treat while it's happening.  Dr Joe and his staff are so nice.  I weigh 9 lbs and I'm 12.5 inches tall.  When I came home, I played with Justice in the snow.

There is a little hill between our houses and it is very slippery.  I rolled down the hill a couple of times and Justice had to brace his self to prevent his collar from flashing.  He doesn't like the flashing.

Thunder Visits Grandma and Grandpa

I am at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  I try to be a good house guest, I slept in my cage most of the day.  When I woke up, I explored their yard and played in the rain.  So far, I'm like the postman, no rain or snow will stop me from playing.  Back inside, toweled down, feet cleaned and after a treat back to playing.  I am chewing bones and bringing my toys all over the house.  I play attack with my toys, sometimes they win, and then i run fast, fall and roll over.

Thunder and Monster

The last time Monster was here we played with Justice.  Justice is the standard poodle that lives next door.  He is almost one year old.  He is much bigger than Monster and me.  I should be big like him when I am one.  Monster was still limping from the last time we were playing with Justice.  It was scarey, Monster had to be carried home because his knee slips out of place when he turns too fast and I rolled down the hill.  We still went to play with Justice again.  We love to play outside, we love to run, jump, and bounce around.  We chase each other and chase leaves.  We chew on tree branches and drag them around.  I am now 7.4 lbs and I'm 10.25 inches tall.  I can bark now just like Monster and Justice.

Thunder's Thanksgiving

Today is Thsnksgiving.  I am thankful for my new family and they are thankful for me.  I am at Monster's house.  He likes me.  He doesn't play long because he gets tired.  He has to rest on the couch but he lets me play with his toys.  Michelle said he has a sore leg and he is sick.  It makes her sad, I can tell she loves him alot.  We went to the newlyweds house and I was so excited to meet cats, Kitty and Nugget.  They were not good at sharing like Monster.  They even stood guard of the stairs so I couldn't go up or down.  I don't know why because I don't like stairs.  It was a waste of their time and while they were guarding the stairs I was playing with their toys and more of my family.  Sean really liked me.  Everyone liked me with the exception of the cats.  I'm not sure about them.  Kitty even left her post on the stairs to stop me from playing with her toy.  Oh well time to go home anyway, I'm very tired.

Thunder's People

More firsts, I slept in my new home.  I only woke up once and went out to potty.  I must have been nervous because I've never woke up in the night time since then.  More neighbors came to meet me Kent, Jeanette and Andrea, they have a dog named Roxie, I can't wait to meet her.  I went to my new Vet, everyone there really thought I was cute even Dr. Joe.  I weigh 5 lbs and I am 9 inches tall.  I have met Michelle, my new Mom and Dad's daughter, and Monster, Michelle and Sharrice's Toy Poodle.

Thunder Comes Home For Thanksgiving

Today is a big, big day for me.  I am going to my forever home.  I went to the Vet, I went to the groomer.  I am all ready,  I can't wait until my new human family comes to pick me up.  My brothers and sisters are just as excited as I am, we are all starting a new adventure.  My new family arrived with gifts for me.  I said  goodbye to everyone, it was sad, and I will miss them but it's time to go.  I was alittle afraid but I just knew they loved me and I would be safe.  I had been so excited all day that I feel asleep in the car on the way to my new home.  When we got home,  I played outside for awhile, it was a beautiful day, I loved running in the grass and leaves.  I did run in mud but that didn't work out so well.  I didn't make the turn, slide sideways but recovered and took off again, right into the red twig bush.  I think I need to slow down until I learn my way around.
We went indoors, I wandered around, and took another nap.  When I woke up I had company Becky and Lyndsey came to meet me.  I love meeting new people!

Thunder's Adventures

A lot has happened since Halloween.  I love playing outside.  I love chasing my brothers, sisters, Mom, Dad and leaves.  I run and jump and never stop moving and wagging  my tail.  I sleep a lot still but when I'm tired I can always get someone to carry me.  I'm a standard poodle so I need to be groomed.  I was excited to be held but being groomed with the clippers was even more exciting.  I couldn't hold still my tail kept wagging   I got my muzzle, tail, feet, and butt trimmed.  I look more like a poodle with my haircut.  I go out to potty even in the dark.  It is cold out now and it is snowing.  I love snow.  I've been to the Veterinarian and got my first shots, I was scared but it didn't hurt.  I have been dewormed (yuk).
I am going to my forever home soon

Thunder's First Halloween

I met my forever family!  They didn't know it but I knew it.  They seemed almost as excited as I was.  It is a little hard to know with humans (no tail) but I could tell.   Everyone knows about me and how I feel because my tail wagging is a sure give away.  Sometimes I chase it, just trying to stop it for a second.  It's hard to catch.  I can do it but if I pull to hard, I fall down.  That surprises me, then I let go and my tail starts wagging again.  They left to go home and give out Halloween treats.  I can't wait until next Halloween because I love treats.  I weigh 2.4 lbs. at Halloween and Hunter weighs 5.2 lbs..  When my forever family came, I was not with my brothers and sisters, I was laying on the bed being kissed and hugged.  I am spoiled because I am tiny and really cute.  The kids love playing, cuddling, and carrying me around.  Everyone started calling me "Thunder" a few days later.  I knew they loved me and would be my forever family.  I love my name!  I have a white mark on my head that looks like a lightning bolt.

Thunder's First 8 Weeks

Many adventures have occurred.  They are always great fun and new to me.  I am so excited that my tail never stops wagging.   I can see now,  seeing is marvelous.  It makes everything so much easier.  I was only able to feel before but seeing makes the world even bigger.  My brothers and sisters are all different sizes and different colors,.  Don't tell them I said this but I think they are all beautiful.  Well, you can tell them if you want to  because our human family and friends tell us that all the time.  They are smart so I'm sure they already know and I was so excited when I saw them all.  They know exactly exactly how I feel.  You know with all my cuddling and tail wagging..  I do have a favorite brother but I try not to advertise it but I know and he knows.  He is the biggest and I am the smallest so it's surely what humans say " Opposites Attract".  He is the biggest, his birth weigh was 15.6 ozs and I  am the smallest, my birthweight was 8.6 ozs.  He was more than twice my weight at birth.  At one month old, his weight is 15.6 pounds and mine is 5.2 pounds.  He is now three times my size.
I forgot to tell you his name is Hunter and you already know my name is Thunder.  Isn't that great!  Our names are very similar even though our weights and coloring are very different.  Hunter is the color of wheat, all over one color.  I am a Tuxedo marked, parti poodle.  I am dark brown and white.

Thunder's Birthday

I was born September 30, 2013 at 3:31 am.  I weighed in at a whopping 8.6 ounces.  I was born fourth of nine puppies.  It was great being born.  I entered into a gigantic new world.

Thunder's First Weeks

My first weeks are kind of a blur.  They went so fast.  I remember being in a small, safe place.  Did I mention small?  There were nine of us sharing the small space.  Not much room for playing.  There was an occasional foot or tail, face or body to push at.  Must have been feet since they are now my favorite chew toy.  Although my family insists they are not toys.  How could that be?  They are so much fun.  Chewing on them and these things called socks always create a lot of  excitement at my forever home.  Oh yell, speaking of excitement, I got distracted, feet always do that to me.  One day in my small safe space everything started to change, we could see a little light.  It was so exciting!  We started to wiggle and squiggle.  We managed to line up, as I mentioned before I was number 4 in line and we headed for the light.  I don't know why but after being in the small space so long, it seemed like it would be a good idea.  I don't remember who had the idea but I bet it was Mommy.  She is so smart and we just spend most of our time sleeping.  It took a long time for me to get into the full light and I was fourth.  It was hard work but I remember warm soft things helping me dry off, I now know they are hands, they made me feel safer then and now.   Being born was hard work for me, my brothers and sisters.  It was even hard work for my Mom.
